ABOUT ME
I am an artist in the metal technique known as Mokume Gane. I live in Dunedin, New Zealand, on a secluded bush covered hill with my dogs’ chickens and often my children. I am reclusive by nature and nature is my cave.
My pieces are named/titled after a person/group who has contributed to my developing of processes, who have entered my world and in some way changed my perception, my understanding of self and the world at large…..how small and fragile we are, how great the expanse of heart.
Here is some of my work and an idea of the time it has taken for me to achieve each piece. As my format shifts and settles into my own aesthetic, my methods and material usage evolves, grows.
I hope you enjoy.
